OUR FRUIT
Kings Lake vineyard
is in the Geographe Wine Region which is next to Margaret River.
We are currently planting:
- Six red varieties, which are Grenache, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec.
- Three white varieties, which are Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay.
The soil is typical yellow-brown gravel loam with a layer of clay and limestone. Ideal for wine grape production. We raise sheep and chicken on-site to take care of the grass and pests. We use organic fertilizer to enrich nutrition. We are halfway through an organic vineyard already!
The vines are 26 years old, strong and energetic. The quality of fruit is climbing towards its peak. Flavour and elegance accumulates and increases as time passes.
